Val is a 65-pound female Shepherd–Husky hybrid (wolf dog mix), truly unique in both her look and personality. She is currently with her foster in Maryland, where she is learning to feel more comfortable around new people. Once she gets to know someone, her gentle and loyal nature really begins to shine.
Her life didn’t start out easy, but despite everything she’s been through, Val still wants to connect, trust, and form a bond with her person. She is sensitive and will do best with someone who understands the importance of patience and allowing her to open up at her own pace.
Val will need continued confidence-building around other dogs, and for now, she would do best as the only dog in the home where she can feel safe and secure.
With the right person, Val has so much potential to grow into a deeply devoted and trusting companion - she just needs someone willing to give her the time, understanding, and stability she’s always deserved.
